Primary Responsibilities:
• Mentor developers on the team, fostering an environment of continued learning and improvement.
• Empower the team to deliver quality software in a timely manner and continuously improve the development process.
• Build and maintain strong peer relationships within the team and across the organization.
• Enjoy working in a collaborative environment with a diverse group of people partnering effectively with the team members, partners, and customers.
• Implementation of architectural and technical designs for complex features.
• Responsible for maximizing the maintainability and extensibility of the solutions.
• Research, design, test, and evaluate technologies for the Mindful AI suite of applications.
• Evaluate, recommend, and proposed solutions to existing systems.
• Write high-quality code, that is supported by an appropriate level of testing and metrics.
• Develop system documentation, technical user guides, technical how to videos, user how to videos, policies, procedures and guidelines for team members and business users.
• Assist and adhere to enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
Requirements:
• 8~12 years of Software development experience including: object-oriented programming, concurrency programming, modern design patterns, RESTful service implementation, micro-service architecture, test-driven development, and acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with tools used to automate the deployment of an enterprise software solution to the cloud, Terraform, Concourse, Ansible, etc.
• Proficiency with Git as a version control system
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and MSSQL.
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, Scala, .Net etc.
• Experience with testing tools such as PyTest, Wiremock, xUnit, mocking frameworks, etc.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Experience with GCP a big plus.

Non-Technical Experience

4. Experience within retail banking environment is a plus
5. Knowledge of AML / KYC processes and solutions is a plus
6. Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum
7. Good to have
a. Experience with Confluence, JIRA
b. Front end development using JavaScript, Angular2+, HTML, CSS3
c. Good judgment in UX/UI design. Understands the finer points of HTML, CSS, Angular and JavaScript - know which tools to use when and why
d. Experience with Confluence, JIRA and Bitbucket/Git
Technical Experience
1. Min 5 years of technology delivery experience in backend and frontend development
2. Hands on experience in at least one server-side object-oriented programming language
3. Hands on experience writing modern single page web applications
4. Experience with design and system architecture for web applications
5. Experience using source code control systems and branching strategies including with hands on experience branching, merging, and releasing
6. Experience with a major relational database system and ideally one NoSQL database
7. Understanding of distributed messaging systems
8. Knowledge of data structures, design patterns, architectural styles, and API designs
9. Need to have:
- Backend development using Java8+, Spring Boot/Batch, JPA, Web Services/REST, Multi-threading, Microservices on PCF/OpenShift - Good unit-testing/mocking discipline (TDD++) - Experience with Git - Exposure to big data techniques and tools - Excellent written and oral communication skills
